FedEx Tracking

Pretty much as the title states as I just got a notification that there's a pre-authorization on my card from Fedex but I have no other emails or what not from anybody about it. So I called customer support and was told I needed to wait 24 hours for the invoice to generate after the charge processes so they can see what was billed on their end. The only thing I can think of is some discrepancy with size/weight and getting charged for the difference but I just had my scale calibrated and always measure the box's final packaged dimensions/weight before getting a label. Is it really this *** backwards where they "cant see anything" even though they are already charging me?

I ordered this package December 13 It was shipped via FedEx 2Day Express package to Newark, OH and it arrived at the Columbus Express hub on Dec 31 — about 30 minutes from me. On Jan 2 it was scanned “out for delivery” at 2:29 AM, never delivered, then scanned back into the hub that night with no explanation. Idk if its just my area, but I was getting something delivered that required signature. I was sitting in my room when I get a notification that there was someone on my porch (ring camera), I go to the door and hes already gone. Dude got on my porch, stood there for almost exactly 2 minutes, didnt knock or anything, picked my package and left. This isn't the first time this has happened, now its says that theyll try to deliver it tmr while im at work! So convenient for signed packages! After being told for more than three weeks that the packages weren’t delivered because my address is outside their “delivery area” or “service area” and battling to find a solution, NOW they are claiming delivery attempts were made. They claim the code in the system for why the packages are sitting in the warehouse means either they couldn’t contact me to verify the delivery or the address was “inaccessible.” Funny but on their BS tracking information they say attempts were made I was home at each time, and there were no missed calls or voice mails. I did the thing! Left a pile of insulin 2000 miles away with family over the holidays accidentally. Major stockpile, had to bring all of my insulin due to possibility of freezing if I left it in my cabin-esque home here. And my next refill isn't for 2.5 months. If I get a cooler in a shipping box, and have my family stick it in there maybe with a couple gel packs but with bubble wrap around the insulin so no vial can touch the gel packs, how good are my odds to mail it to myself without it freezing? I participated in the Apple promo and the device was shipped. I followed the FedEx tracking closely, and when it arrived at my local delivery hub, I received a message saying the package was on hold at the hub. I called FedEx and they told me the shipper had requested a hold and a return to sender. The next day the tracking said the device returned to sender, then contacted WS; they didn’t know the reason and asked to ship another device. During the second shipment attempt, the new tracking showed that it arrived at my local hub again, and then there were no further updates. I contacted FedEx once more and they said the package was lost or stolen. I escalated the issue again with WS. ...

I ordered an airsoft gun off eBay about a month ago. Everything was fine up until the package was scanned on to the truck (Jamie was the driver). Past that, no updates. In fact, it never got rescanned and to this day it says “Your driver Jamie is on the way”. I got a refund from the seller, I hope they get their money from FedEx. Now I know to steer clear of FedEx when possible. I wonder if they will just keep that tracking number active indefinitely 😂
