Hi, on Jan 7 my $3000 guitar shipped thru fedex in Canada. I got the tracking number. It showed Calgary as the original location. After about 1 day tracking info deleted. Still havent received my package. Cant contact customer service because my tracking number isnt valid anymore. It was a special guitar and there is no chance at getting another one if they lost it. I had the option to ship thru Canada Post (via long and Mcquade) and chose fedex. Really regretting this decision now. Any advice?

TL;DR: I preordered on November 16^(th) and received my laptop on January 8^(th). For context: I (24M) live in the Inland Empire and I work at a FedEx Ground as a package handler. Since peak is fresh in everyone’s mind I’m wondering what everyone’s thoughts are on how things have been running since peak ended? I can’t believe I’m saying this but I would rather work peak than the standard days. The flow during peak was so much better. The way they’re running things now they’re sending the boxes down trying to get us out of the building as soon as possible. I think something FedEx fails to realize is that you can have 20K packages a day with a good flow & everyone would be in good shape. Or you can do a 12K speed run and kill everyone!

On December 21st I ordered my copy from Rise Above. On the 22nd, I got an email saying they'd be going on Festive Break until January 8th and would I like to cancel. I dropped off a return package at a nearby drop box that says pickup is at 3:30pm (M–F). Around 5:30pm I checked the tracking page and it still hadn’t been scanned. About 10 minutes later, the status briefly changed to “We have your package,” but when I refreshed again shortly after that, it went back to saying they don’t have it yet. Is this normal? Why would the tracking status flip like that, and when do packages usually actually get picked up and scanned?

So I have three separate packages that were expected this week from FedEx ground. Two have been in St. John’s since Wednesday. The notation indicates “…a trusted third vendor is on the way with your package” but nothing has been attempted to be delivered. A third package arrived in St. John’s today with an indication of expected delivery for today with the same “… a trusted third party is on the way” noted in the tracking. There was no actual delivery attempt. Anyone having similar issues with FedEx ground? The delays seem more unusual than normal. Not only is it delayed with the constant ferry delays, now it’s further delayed even when it gets to the depot.

I have a group of indoor/outdoor cats that are all fixed and all kept inside nightly. The morning of December 9th I let a few out like I do every morning before going to work. I had a package delivered yesterday to an area of my building under a sign that says “do not leave packages here, deliver to resident’s unit”.
