I printed a label using eBay shipping for fedex ground. When the package was delivered eBay charged me an additional $37 on top of the $15 I already paid for the label which made the total cost of shipping an 11lb package from SF TO AZ over $52. Can eBay do this?

I have a very strange situation right now. I have a package from Korea being held in customs in Alaska because the shipper did not provide sufficient information for it to clear customs. When the company emailed me my shipping information, I was given a tracking number that starts with UP and ends with KR. I received notification about the package in my Fedex app. A numerical tracking number is listed, and the UP number is listed as a reference number instead. I'm glad the drivers don't have to work today on Easter Sunday. But this is the second day in a row where the tracking says my delivery will 'arrive today' despite it being last scanned 150 miles away yesterday and not out for delivery by 11am today. Why is a modern tracking system incapable of just telling me it's delayed without making promises it can't keep? In 2026 Fed Ex doesn't have a system that knows it's a holiday?

I ordered a package of electronics from Xfinity late last week and there was attempted delivery yesterday (Saturday 4/4 @ 11:29 Am) but it requires signature and unfortunately we were not home. i ordered a console from japan through ZenMarket, but completely forgot about the current events in the region. the package is in their warehouse (they store items for up to 60 days). i’m worried the situation might get worse if I wait. should i ship it now using DHL or FedEx, or wait? i don’t care about speed, i just want the package to be safe with no damages or issues with customs. which shipping service would be safer for this situation? Every package I've sent recently using Fedex as the option has been "weight adjusted" well beyond how heavy it actually is. They are defaulting every package under 10 lbs. to 13lbs. after its shipped. I shipped 4 packs of card sleeve, that came in under 2 lbs. and they adjusted it to 13lbs. I shipped 2 boardgames, separately, each came in around 8lbs. amd they adjusted both packages to 13 lbs. Ebay doesnt care and won't refund me the money.
