USPS Tracking

This happened twice in the past month, first seller entered USPS tracking number (but it was a DHL e-commerce handed over to USPS). The actual item came from Amazon (it even had a gift return code!). I called DHL and the confirmed the shipping label wasn’t addressed to me nor my address - only the zip code was the same. Similar situation with the second seller who used UPS for the “fake” delivery. It’s well known that drop shipping isn’t Amazon is not allowed, why go to all the effort and pay UPS or DHL for another delivery to cover it up? Is there more to this method than I suspect? I ordered five books last month, divided into two orders- three books on January 11th, and two more books around January 14th. I moved out of an apartment (rent stabilized under 421-a, probably 100 or so units in the building, and leasing company owns many properties) on Dec 30, 2025. Lease officially ended on Dec 31. Hi all, I was sent some sensitive documents as First Class Mail - Large Envelope in a manila envelope and unfortunately the sender didn’t certify it further with tracking or signature requirements. This document was postmarked on Monday 2/09 at 1:30 with an estimated delivery date of Wednesday 2/11. It’s traveling one state over, the USPS site says that’s 1 Zone to me but as of today, 2/14 Saturday it hasn’t arrived. I rarely if ever use my FedEx account. Last time I logged in was when I updated my account details to be current, and had to work through customer service to get my account unlocked back then in October. Today my account is locked again after not being used since the last time support took a week to escalate and unlock my account. First guy I call hangs up on me after getting my email, second actually transfers me to technical support, which of course they can't just reset my account, they escalate again for a simple login issue. I’ve never had this happen before so I’m not sure if this is a glitch on Etsy’s end. The buyer paid $6.58 for standard shipping. It says they requested priority shipping, which would be $12.58. And when I try to do standard shipping using the profile that this was ordered with, it tells me that it would cost $8.81, which doesn’t even match the original standard shipping they paid. Can someone make this make sense?
