We don’t have residential mailboxes here. It’s been this way since the government created this town in the 1940s. Because of that, we are required to use PO Boxes for all mail, but we can only access them during retail hours: 7:30 AM to 4 PM on weekdays, and 8 to 11:30 AM on Saturdays. There is no after-hours access at all. On top of that, they’ve started cutting the postmaster’s hours even more. A few days ago, the office didn’t even open until sometime after 9:30 AM.
