Sent out a package from NJ last Saturday, Jan 31st. The line for service was a football field long so I used the self-check kiosk to get a 'received' scan and handed it over to the single employee working the line. He grabbed it and pulled it away quickly, presumably to one of the several outgoing boxes behind him. After checking a few days in a row, it still had no movement, no scan past my own self-kiosk checkout. Not even a departure scan out of NJ -- regional facility, etc., nothing. 1/26/26 - Applied online for renewal with routine service and regular shipping. Passport had a little over three months left before it expired. 1/28/26 - Received the Application Status: In Process email 1/31/26 - Received the Application Status: Approved email with an estimated delivery date of 2/7/26. 2/2/26 - Received an email from USPS with a tracking number and an expected delivery of 2/6/26. I think I got this because I signed up for USPS Informed Delivery. Explain to me how a package literally comes to my zip code distribution center then to the local processing USPS facility? Then gets sent to a completely different zip code distribution center, and processing USPS facility instead of just getting put out for delivery to me? 🤔😡

I recently ordered a package from ebay and then received an email from DHL ecommerce asking for prepayment of Customs/Duties about a week ago. I paid the requested amount online to DHL. The package was sent from the USA to Canada. Today I received a delivery notice card for the package from Canada Post (with a USPS International tracking number as it originated in the USA) and I am being assessed duties/taxes a second time.
